I am pleased (and very excited) to invite you all to the first ever Student Affairs Technology Unconference here in Boston. As I mentioned last month, the goal was to bring together a group of Student Affairs in Higher Education professionals in one place to share the best ideas they had in departmental technology implementation.  I’m thrilled to officially announce today that we have secured a date, location, and time thanks to our friends at Boston University (@DeanElmore & @SportsGirlKat):

The Student Affairs Technology Unconference – Boston
Friday, July 29, 2011 | 11:00am – 5:00pm
Boston University’s School of Management – Room 208
Hashtag: #satechBOS |  Register here!

All pertinent information may be found on the #satechBOS Wiki!

There are only 90 spots available for this inaugural unconference, so please sign up as soon as you can.  It is shaping to be a fantastic event, with @DeanElmore scheduled to facilitate some closing conversation with some thoughts and remarks.   I sincerely hope you can make it!

After the event is over, join me as I support our friends Mike Petroff and Seth Odell at their “eduTweetup Boston” event from 6:00pm to 10:00pm at McGreevy’s in Boston!  If you come to both, you are guaranteed to make some great connections and learn a lot!

Have you ever been to an “unconference” experience before? What tech topics are you interested in learning more about or sharing ideas on?
