I am beyond excited to share this news with all of you, which is a culmination of events that started back in February:
February 9, 2010: I present a session entitled “Building Community Through Social Media” at Bridgewater State College’s Student Affairs Staff Development meeting. After tweeting about it that morning, @TomKrieglstein asked:

After some “encouragement” and some help from @CindyKane, I was able to present and broadcast it on UStream. It was a great experience.
March 15, 2010: @TeriBump invites me to dinner at the Foundation Room in the House of Blues, Boston with some amazing people, including @uoflvpsa @EricStoller, @JohnBattaglino, and @DeanElmore. She had two rules for all guests, which I loved: 1. No talking business or work at the table and 2. Dessert required. I eagerly accepted and counted down the days.
March 19, 2010: I go to dinner with no expectations and leave with a world of new ideas and excitement. As I sat with @uoflvpsa and @DeanElmore, I gained a deeper understanding the future of Student Affairs, Higher Education, and Social Media, and it made me think: I wish other Student Affairs professionals and graduate students could be sitting here right now and listen in on this amazing conversation and the many other ones happening around the table. (Dessert was amazing by the way… cheesecake, yum!)
March 22, 2010: At the #SAchat Tweetup during the ACPA Annual Convention, I got to chat some more with @DeanElmore and I asked him if we could continue the conversation by me coming up to Boston University for a visit and he graciously agreed. I filed this away in my head (and on my BlackBerry) as a follow up item in the April.
Friday, April 30, 2010: After a crazy April, my BlackBerry reminded me to follow up with @DeanElmore about making that visit. After watching a few live interviews over UStream and Vokle in April, it got me thinking about pitching a “live interview” idea to @DeanElmore. So, I sent Kenn an email, outlining my ideas for a live video interview and hoping to schedule a day and time. I crossed my fingers and hoped for the best.
Tuesday, May 11, 2010: Lucy Torres from @DeanElmore‘s office sends me an email confirming his interest and excitement! I was thrilled to get this and began thinking about titles, how to broadcast it, and what questions to ask.
So, this brings us today. Please mark your calendar’s and spread the word!
